Job Summary

This position is responsible for managing clinical experiences for nursing and health science students.

Responsibilities

Works closely with course coordinators to create and assign clinical schedules, sites, and clinical instructors.

Communicates directly with FT faculty and PT clinical instructors regarding clinical schedules and sites.

Communicates directly with students regarding clinical schedules and sites.

Ensures student credentialing requirements are current for the assigned clinical facility

Serves as a liaison between clinical sites and the program.

Coordinates clinical site visits as required.

Identifies new clinical sites and coordinates related agreements.

Reviews and enforces memoranda of understanding with clinical sites.

Assists with new nursing student orientation.

Assists in the preparation of reporting documents for the Georgia Board of Nursing.

Maintains nursing student files.

Maintains part-time faculty files.

Facilitates the use of the electronic record system of the facilities choice, such as ACEMAP.

Schedules and assists with meetings for part-time faculty.

Performs related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Associate's degree

Current unencumbered Georgia Registered Nurse license

Experience sufficient to thoroughly understand the work of subordinate positions to be able to answer questions and resolve problems, usually associated with three years of experience or service.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Knowledge of adult education principles and practices.

Knowledge of clinical education principles and practices.

Knowledge of nursing principles and practices.

Knowledge of program mission, vision and philosophy.

Knowledge of course clinical requirements.

Knowledge of college policies and procedures.
