Tacoma Community College is located in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, just south of Seattle with a beautiful view of Mt. Rainier, magnificent Olympic Mountains, and the amazing Puget Sound. TCC is a comprehensive state-supported community college servicing more than 720,000 residents of the Tacoma-Pierce County area and enrolling approximately 18,000 students annually (6,000 FTE). The College's service district includes all of Tacoma and the Pierce County portion of the Olympic Peninsula and serves the Tacoma and Peninsula school districts. TCC is one of 34 community and technical colleges in a statewide system known as the State Board of Community Technical Colleges (SBCTC). Tacoma Community College (TCC) is pleased to invite innovative higher education administrators to apply for the Dean of Organizational Learning and Effectiveness. Reporting to the Executive Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs, the Dean provides leadership in two key areas of TCC's institutional portfolio. Organizational Learning encompasses institutional strategic planning, faculty and staff development, organizational and leadership development, continuous improvement efforts, and faculty driven initiatives to improve student success. Organizational effectiveness encompasses institutional effectiveness, regional and program accreditation, TCC's "Achieving the Dream" initiative (AtD), TCC activities related to Washington State's Student Achievement Initiative; institutional research functions. Areas of responsibility include the planning, delivery, and review of faculty development (orientation, training, and professional development initiatives and activities); staff and leadership development programs; building organizational capacity through the embedding of institutional strategic initiatives that include Creating Learning, Achieving Equity, Engaging Community, and Embracing Discovery.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's Degree, data management literacy and supervisory experience. Experience in higher education administration in the areas of learning outcomes assessment, institutional effectiveness, institutional research, and/or planning, and instructional technology highly desired.

This is a full-time administrative position with a salary range of $86,000 - $94,000 annually DOE/DOQ.
