The College of Engineering and Computer Science (CECS) is seeking an Outreach Coordinator to support the Center for Student Success. This position will coordinate recruitment and retention efforts for CECS undergraduate students within the in-state and reduced tuition geographic areas defined by Enrollment Services. The Outreach Coordinator will track and define quality of community engagement, analyze data and track various data points to determine outreach strategies that best serve CECS enrollment goals. This position will design and implement marketing strategy for all CECS undergraduate programs to prospective K-14 students and manage development of marketing collateral within outreach efforts, develop and maintain positive relationships with outward facing partners as well as internal partners across campus, closely monitor outreach budget and inventory, and ensure alignment of Outreach with the larger goals of CECS.

This position will also manage tours and outreach activities for internal or external customers. This position will hire, train, and supervise student staff or other personnel as they conduct tours and outreach for prospective students, school groups, and various college guests; actively engage in the CECS committees that support the college on special projects in connection with outreach and student engagement, including marketing activities. The Outreach Coordinator will guide and support CECS efforts to increase diversity, student leadership development, sense of belonging at the college, and community engagement.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:
  • Knowledge of basic computer operating systems.
  • Ability to communicate in writing and verbally with various high-level community and college personnel with ease.
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive professional relationships and to operate autonomously towards the goals of CECS.
  • Knowledge of student-facing services in higher education.
  • Ability to develop and maintain diverse relationships.
  • Ability to manage and analyze data to report on key measures.
  • Ability to manage expenditures and track budget items.
  • Ability to create and execute effective events, and develop buy-in from external partners as needed.
  • Ability to work effectively with students and faculty from diverse cultural backgrounds and experience levels.
  • Ability to maintain organization and focus toward objectives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated collaborative work style, strong team player, open-mindedness, inclusiveness and flexibility.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree; experience in higher education in a student-facing role; experience in relationship development within the community

Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree; experience with federal guidelines regarding students; experience training and managing others, including students
