Job Description

The University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) is recruiting for an NSHE Specialist 1, in the College of Business. This position is responsible for coordinating college assessment and accreditation activities, providing data analysis of all student outcomes and programs to various stakeholders for decision making and serving as back-up to the Fiscal and Human Resources Director. This position will also be responsible for supporting the college's international initiatives and Nevada Global Business programs. Other administrative duties may include event planning for college-wide events and providing additional support to departments and graduate programs.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and one year of relevant experience; OR graduation from high school or equivalent education and three years of program support experience equivalent to an Administrative Assistant III in Nevada state service which included applying complex laws and regulations, composing written materials and maintaining records; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.

This position requires experience analyzing data.

This position requires experience with financial data and/or budgets.

This position requires experience with Workday or a comparable HR software.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with experience working in a higher education environment are encouraged to apply.

Candidates with experience with accreditation and HR transactions are encouraged to apply.

Schedule

The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm; this is subject to change based on organizational needs.
