Job Summary
The School of Nursing in the College of Education and Health Professions at Columbus State University invites applications for a Limited-Term or Assistant Professor of Nursing in Psychiatric Mental Health. The position is a nine-month, non-tenure track faculty position and the start date is August 1, 2021.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include: teaching undergraduate psychiatric mental health nursing courses, face-to-face and online; mentoring students; working collaboratively with area clinical and hospital staff; performing service and administrative tasks necessary to ensure excellence in nursing education at Columbus State University; and contributing to scholarly activity in the field through research, presentation and publications. The successful candidate will be able to foster an environment of professionalism and collaboration, work in continuous improvement of nursing preparation and research, demonstrate exceptional ability to function as part of a team with university faculty and the community of practice, and engage in practices that support the University's focus on student engagement and active learning.

Required Qualifications
Required qualifications include a Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university is required. The successful candidate must possess at least three years of quality nursing experience in a psychiatric mental health or specialty environment; be licensed or eligible for RN licensure in Georgia; have college level teaching in nursing and working with diverse populations; and possess an understanding of technology as a tool for effective teaching.

Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates who have an earned doctorate in nursing or a related field; evidence of successful teaching at the college level in both traditional, simulation, and online environments; and previous teaching experience in the academic and/or clinical environment.
