Midway University seeks a full-time Assistant Professor of Nursing in the School of Health Sciences to teach in our undergraduate nursing programs and assume the role of program coordinator for our online RN-BSN Program. Rank negotiable with experience.We seek an individual who is committed to excellence in teaching and mentoring students and who will work with the Dean and other program coordinators to enhance the rigor, currency, and quality of the RN-BSN program while ensuring compliance with accreditation standards.

Duties: Didactic and clinical instruction, advising students, serving on committees, and scholarship. As program coordinator, duties include curriculum design and ongoing program review and evaluation, and collaboration with admissions on recruitment and marketing of program. The successfulcandidate will work in an environment that respects and appreciates diversity; engages in activitiesthat promote the department and University.

Required qualifications: Masters Degree in Nursing is required; Doctorate Degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution is preferred; ABD candidates will be considered. Successful candidate must hold an active, unencumbered Kentucky or Compact State license. Experience teaching at the college level and experience with accreditation standards preferred. A minimum of two years of Nursing experience in practice within the last five years required. Nursing and/or teaching experience in medical-surgical nursing, obstetrics, or pediatrics preferred.
